First of all,as stated in the...
First of all,as stated in the previous review, this club is no longer called Cristal Gentlemen's club but rather the Penthouse club. I wasn't there on the 28th but I was there on the 29th, the 30th and July 1 and 2 (I was in town for 4 days only and don't come this way often).
29th-This was the second day of the grand opening. There was no cover charge (nor any of the other days- to encourage patrons to come and try it out I think). It was quite crowded with lots of people standing. There was a large table of hors d'oeuvres which I sampled, but there were just too many people to stay long. There was a new stage extension added to the old, jutting out into the room. The stage is now T shaped with a pole in each of the three arms. There were also more dark drapes added around the stage and darker paint on the walls. I wondered how Penthouse got involved in this club. ( I was to learn the next day from a dancer that she thought the owner had bought a franchise. Why a person who owns the Sundowner would think that bringing in the Penthouse name would improve the bottom line here is beyond me, but that is just me.
30th- I returned at about 730 on Friday. The stage show had not yet started but there was a Penthouse photograper doing a photo shoot on part of the stage. Iwatched three different girls model over the course of 2 hours, I found this more interesting that the stage show which began at 8. One girl was definitely a 10, absolutely as good looking as any, particularly with a wonderful smile on her face. I hope she makes the magazine. There were 3 headline acts for the weekend. I caught the Las Gatas dancers each night. There were 5 dancers on Firday and Saturday but only 3 on Sunday. They were billed as coming all the way from San Diego. They danced a routine not unlike what one saw in the movie Chicago and made an attempt to dance in unison. However they put on as much clothing as they took off and I was a little puzzled as to why they would appear at a strip club since one sees more skin a network TV. This is the kind of introduction of class I worry about. I did get several private dances in the back. I was more impressed by the new white curtains at each dance location that gave the impression of a boudoir than I was by the dances. I also watched Sandra Katz do her act. She is very athletic, able to hang upside down on a pole by her legs and touch her nose to her knees without using her hands. There was audience participation as well. Aguy got pulled onto the stage slapped on his stomach, turned over, shaving cream rubbed on his bare ass, initials shaved into his butt hair, then a large dollop of hand cream squirted onto the same ass, his pants pulled up and then a great smack applied to the ass. His reward was a towel and a poster. Some might be turned on by this. I took several minuted to clean up the stage from the cream, the wax and the bubbles. Did I mention the crowd was smaller than the night befor and there were places to sit? Canberry juice in a half liter bottle and a glass with ice on the side was only 3.75
July 1 The crowd was smaller still even though it was a Saturday. I was impressed with the stage dancing of Cheyenne who was almost able to stretch out from a pole parallel to the ground holding on with her hands and arms. I caught Jeanne Stallone's act also- very energetic- and a lot like a burlesque routine of old. I also watched the dancing of the dancer who had modeled the night before. She never smiled and woodenly went through her routine with no attempt to engage the audience. The contrast with the night before was so great that I wasn't sure it was the same person, but her body was the same. What a difference a smile makes. What a wonderful girl in front of a camera and such a disappointment when just on stage. I got 3 very satisfactory private dances from a dancer I choose not to name as she allowed activities I appreciate. I came back the next night for a repeat.
July 2 The crowd was very small on Sunday. I watched Sandra Katz do a repeat on some other unsuspecting guy. I also got more dances from the dancer from the previous night. About 1 minute into the first dance I realized she had been given the lecture on the rules she had broken the night before. She explained that a bouncer had interrupted her and another patron later the previous night and made things clear to both of them. She had just started there and she like being there. It was classier than her previous club and she wanted to keep working there.
