Homer’s is a blue-collar bar in the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago. Parking is on the street. The front door is always locked, so you will have to pass the security guards muster to get in. They might ask you for a union card or a work ID. They may even deny you entry if they feel you are gang affiliated or in law enforcement. The inside is one large room. The front is dominated by a large island bar. The middle is a more open area with a couple leather chairs along the wall. The back of the room has a pool table. The music is played off of a TouchTunes jukebox and tends to be reggaeton, corridos, or hip hop. There is an outdoor patio for smoking that is about as large as the interior. No food is served at the bar.

On Thursdays and Fridays, there are female entertainers that work at the bar. I would not call them dancers because there is no pole or stage out in the main area of the bar for them to dance. The entertainers wear skimpy dresses out in the main room and will flirt with guys and ask them to buy drinks. If one buys a drink for a lady, mutual groping happens with most of the entertainers. There are private dances behind a curtained area in the right wall of the club. Private dances are fully nude and $40 per song. Lap dances are high mileage, meaning both you and the dancer can touch each other all over. Sometimes a bouncer will peek in to make sure there is nothing illegal going on.

The female entertainment is mostly Mexican with a few blacks. I'd rate most in the 1-4 range, but there are occasionally gems that show up. If you remember the strip club called Cha Cha’s that was at Pershing and Western, Homer’s has the same demographic of entertainers. It is best if you are fluent in Spanish as some of the dancers do not speak English well. There is one white dancer who works here that I’d rate a solid 8, but she seems to just stick to regulars and does not stay late. More entertainers show up as the afternoon turns to the evening. Be careful in this neighborhood after dark.
