Pleasant Experience, but Monday Night Slow

I overnighted in Salina on a road trip north. The Shady Lady seemed like a good place to try out based on reviews here. I think the reviews presented a good picture of the club. It was a pleasant experience, although somewhat limited. I would return.

The club is on the north side of town , apparently in a sparsely populated industrial area. It appeared safe, although it was dark, I could not fully evaluate the neighborhood. The parking lot is big with plenty of spaces, at least on a Monday night.

The club is large, with a full length bar on one side and a stage in the middle. There were about a dozen dancers, all hanging out at the bar, with occasional trips to the smoking patio. There were fewer customers; about 8 or 10. Cover was $5. It is a nude club, although not all the dancers took off their bottoms when they danced. Some would drop them to their knees and others would let you see when you came to the stage. Some dancers gave a good show with a tip, others not so much, and one or two got touchy-feely at the stage. It was worth the tip to find out. After their stage appearance, the dancers came around and asked for a tip if you did not tip them at the stage and thanked you if your did. Many do not like this tip walk, but I find it acceptable. One can always say no, and the dancers did not seem too upset at those who did. With the dances outnumbering the clients it was a slow night, but although I was approached for private dances by several dancers, the vast majority stayed at the bar drinking with the other dancers.
