Trapeze First Timer

Well, about three weeks ago I took the plunge and visited Trapeze for the first time with a dancer friend. As all have noted before, this is not a strip club but a BYOB nightclub for swingers. The reviews mention valet parking and self-parking across the street but I went with the valet as I wasn't familiar with the area or the safety of the self-parking option.

Immediately inside the door is an elaborate check-in system - for new visitors you provide your license and they set you up in the system. We chose the 2month membership. There is also a nightly fee. We chose to pay for a "VIP" area called the Diamond Club which is towards the back of the building and requires a code and check-in to enter. Though we arrived a little before 10pm the front part of the club was already packed. No one was really doing much and most folks were still fully clothed but some of the women were in S&M type dress. Couples were mostly dancing, talking and eating from the large buffet spread. The Diamond Club has an "small plates" menu that you can order off. All food and drink mixers are "free" but tipping is encouraged.

We made our way back to the Diamond Club and got a locker for my friend's bag. Again, this is a BYOB club so bring whatever you want to drink. Though this was my first time, my dancer friend has been on several occasions and she helped provide a tour of the different areas. It was easy to explore at that time because there was no real action yet. It is my understanding that in the "regular" part of the club, you have to be undressed before you go back into the play area. Not so for the Diamond Club. Most people were clothed most of the night except for the folks that got started around 11:30 and they were in towels but you can stay dressed wherever inside that part of the club.
