Still the best value there is in Providence

Desire remains my favorite club in New England. We have all heard the different complaints, being a "regulars club" as the biggest complaint. So I will give my take on all that. First of all, if you go often enough that at least a few of them recognize you, you ARE a regular. On average I am only there once a month and I am treated as a regular by most of the girls and the staff. If it's your first visit, or you don't frequent the club enough, then here are my suggestions. One of the biggest factors for being approached is where you are sitting. If you are sitting toward the back of either bar, you are not likely to be approached as a non-regular. To the girls, you appear to want to be away from the action. If you sit at the front of the bar and face yourself at least somewhat toward the stage, you are now seen as totally approachable. Now, this doesn't mean you will get bombarded by every girl in there, but it highly increases your chances. There are some girls who will simply not approach somebody they don't already know. These girls have several regulars and make a living that way.

The best way to meet an entertainer who catches your eye is to approach her while on stage. Tell her she looks great on that stage and reward her with enough of a tip that she knows you are obviously interested. Invite her for a drink when her set is done. How can she say no? The worst you will get is "I am hanging out with someone now, but if you're still here later I will definitely come over to see you." You might actually get several of those, and they might or might not come see you later. But there will also be several who will gladly join you right after their set.
