Cricket x 2

As part of my latest safari through the Detroit - Windsor area I stopped in The Cricket... The Silver Cricket.... whatever, two times: Friday late afternoon, 5-6pm and Monday night in the 7-9pm range. Parking still free in a fenced lot behind the building off of Kean Street which is one street south of Michigan Avenue. Look for the Home Depot.

Despite the lack of a valet I have parked in this lot dozens of times and not had any issues. I am one of those PL's who doesn't mind the valet keeping an eye on my vehicle such that I do not have to lug my keys around or worry about accidentally opening the doors while in the club. Clean restrooms at the Cricket despite the lack of a bathroom attendant. Here too, I don't mind the "troll" providing me with necessary cologne replenishment, a piece of gum, clean up supplies or a swig of Listermint after dinner and / or some... er ..... dessert. To me, those pluses are worth the extra $10-15 over the course of a visit.

Friday was the tail end of day shift and things were pretty slow. No cover to enter. Partook of the two for $9 mini-beer bucket special. Only 8-10 dancers none of which really sparked my interest. About a 50/50 ebony ivory mix. Drank my beers and left without getting any dances, such that I could head downtown to my next planned stop at Legends.
