Dead In Early Evenings

This club is right on the north edge of the famous DuPont Circle commercial and restaurant area and this it’s a bit out of the way. It’s historically been known as a dive club with raunchy dancing, shady girls and shady interactions in the corners. I guess it’s been ten years since I’ve been here.

The decor has improved, but it still has a dive club feel to it. It used to have a stage in the middle of the room that was about knee high. That stage has been replaced by a stage in the side wall of the club with a slight partition along the edge. It is now chest high. There is a small stage on the other side next to the bar at the end of the room.

The place was practically empty when I went in. One of the dancers said it only gets busy Friday and Saturday nights. There were quite a few Latin dancers there and they played Latin music several times. The girls were a bit heavy but not obese. They still did raunchy dancing but it was not any worse than you would see at the high end Cloakroom club that was newly opened.
