sinclair's Review
I went to Deja Vu on a Saturday night around 21:45. The building was bigger than I expected, and as a previous reviewer mentioned, there were a few guys sitting in their cars in the parking lot. There was a $20 cover charge. I gave the doorman the free admission I got from the website. This only knocked off $5. I still had to pay $15. So much for it being a “free admission” pass. The club does not serve alcohol, but the exorbitant admission fee includes free soda and juice. Every time the waitress brought me a refill, I tipped her a buck. She was very grateful for the tips; she even hugged me. I surmised guys that go there do not tip the servers for bringing them refills. Unfortunately, the Coca-Cola tasted nothing like it was supposed to. There was no carbonation and the flavor was off. I think the club should have gone out to Meijer and bought canned Coca-Cola rather than serve something flat that did not taste like Coke. Typical of Deja Vu’s, there were too many waitresses working for the size of the crowd.
The main stage has two stationary poles. There are also two smaller circular satellite stages out in the seating area. The DJ was constantly talking; it was annoying as hell. Every hour or so, the dancers would all be called to stage for role call. The next couple songs would be for dollar dances. Every dancer who came up to me just pressed her boobs to my face for a half second and walked off. I know the dollar dances are just a gimmick, but at most clubs the strippers will at least hop on your lap and grind for five or ten seconds. Don’t even bother with the dollar dances here. The club stays open until 06:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. A surge of customers comes in after 02:00 when the bars close down.
Deja Vu clearly has the best looking and most plentiful number of entertainers in the area. Dancers tend to be younger here than at the other clubs, although there are a few outliers that need to retire. The club is nude, and it is mandatory the dancers strip down to nude during their stage sets. Topless lap dances are $10 per song in a corner of the main room. Nude lap dances are $20 per song in booths. It seems guys here only for the nude dances, since I did not see anyone get a topless dance in the main room the whole time I was at the club. Songs are short. They are cut to about three minutes. The best looking dancers will not solicit lap dances. They will do their stage set, then hang out in the dressing room or with regulars. You will have to do the approaching if you want to tango with the top-shelf pussy.
