Nature AbWhores a vaccuum
So...with Vics eliminating the bar-side fun, it seems the other neighborhood joint has gotten the message and is changing things up a bit. I stop by Bottoms Up a few times a year because, I don't know, just because it's there: like Everest. Anyway, this time, around 3 pm, I was approached by two dancers in a tag team, quickly offering dances. I used a line I like for this place, and I suggest you readers can adopt: " I would love a dance, or two, but I hate the kitchen, so oh well.. I throw in "No me gusta la cocina" for good measure. They laughed and offered a dual handshake right at the bar. I accepted for the novelty. Afterwards, they moved along and a neighbor was given and accepted the same offer. They left aroun 5 pm and there were only 2 dancers left after that. I didn't catch any names, but these were the usual BU fare. There was one younger ( under 40 ) blond who stood out, but she left earlier and when I asked about her..was told this was her first time there, she was just checking it out, and she left saying the place was a pit and she wouldn't be back. Wish I knew where she would turn up next.
It will be interesting to see if this trend continues or if BU improves given the changes in Vics.
