My mistake?

I find myself in the area from time to time for work and usually would goto Scores (1/2 block away) but thought I’d check out GCC. I’ve been to Polekatz (same owners?) and like it so was hoping for the same. Maybe I screwed I by going in to early (5-7 PM range) but this place was a graveyard on thrusday happy hour. I don’t expect to see 15-20 knockouts running around but there was not 1 dancer in sight the first 20 min I was there. I did get a drink and was super hungry so had a sandwich. After talking with the bartender who was cute and friendly I few girls came up to say hello. Nothing remarkable and 1 was complaining that she’d rather be down at polektaz (I agreed). I did get a dance that was not worth the time I put in and then decided to cut my losses and go to the old standby.

The gold club is nice looking and quite large. I imagine that on a weekend night with full crowd it could be quite fun but this was a strike out. A couple of big bars nice big stage plenty of seating and clean and sharp. The dance area is a little tight with some curtains/beads separating the seating but that’s not a problem when nobody is there. I did get a look at the vip rooms which were nice little looking with couches and TVs etc.

I suppose I’d give it another try - later in the evening but for now will likely stick they the known commodity down the street which smaller and a little run down by comparison but far superior where it really counts in that (9/10 times) it has a nice set of friendly fun and gorgeous dancers.
