A Good Name for This Club
I was on a first-time business trip to Indianapolis, had some extra time, and decided to drive up to Kokomo and check out the Hip Hugger. Visited on a Friday afternoon from 1:30-3:30; free parking, no cover, $4.00 bottled water and $10 dances. Also, no smoking, which must be a state law.
To be generous, I'll just say this is not a fancy club, which generally suits me fine. It was really dark, with even darker corners, which *really* suits me fine. There was one stage, well lit (compared to the rest of the room), and most of the time I was there, only one girl at a time danced, topless. At one point, there were two girls on the same pole at the same time. I had never seen that before, and it was quite enjoyable to watch, a well-choreographed display of feminine pulchritude. All of the girls did a tip walk when they came off the stage, which was done politely and was not pushy.
The songs were played on a wall-mounted jukebox, which at first I thought was a plus, as I thought the songs would not be cut short. At one point while I was getting dances, "Hotel California" came on, and I thought yes, a 6.5-minute song! However, it was actually cut short. Subsequently, I timed a few of the songs. Some shorter ones were played full length, some were cut at about 3 minutes, and a few were cut at 2 minutes. I couldn't quite figure out how that was done, but whatever, the dances are only $10, not $20 or $30 as they seem to be in Indy.
