Wasted Time
After reading numerous reviews and seeing a coupon for free admission in the NightMoves magazine, I decided to stray from Westheimer and give this club a try. What a waste! The club looked fine from the outside and had ample parking, but the interior is very dated. The staff is very customer UNfriendly and the dancers seem to be stuck to their phones or in not need of my money.
It all began with the jerk at the entrance who informed me that the coupon was only good during the summer. When I said there was no expiration on the coupon or in their ad, he backed down when I turned to walk out. He then tried to make me obligated to him by saying he would let me in this time if I didn't say anything to anyone and I could show my appreciation by leaving a ten in the tip jar. He said he would also give me 20% off a bottle of champagne. I should have turned around again and this time walked out as I had previously prepared to do. I caved to him and put a five spot into the tip jar and went on in.
Did I say the club could use an update? The main floor was rather small with a main stage and at least one other satellite stage. There were cubes for dances along the right wall, a bar down the left side, and many nooks and crannies where I was hoping semi-private dances could be done. The club was about half full with the ball game on the tv's mounted around the club. The bar seemed to be the place to be as many dancers were seated there. I took a table between the bar and the cubes along the wall and ordered my first drink of the required two.
