Reveal is no BoomBoom

I wrote a review of Reveal Lounge after a recent visit and it was rejected for brevity. The thing is though, the place was so dead there was not much to say. I will try again. Major renovation and everything has changed, from the PD area, to the stage, the bar and most significantly, the bathrooms. I dropped by to take a look and ordered a draft from the very kind bartender. I asked if it was slow today and she said most days are slow and that it picks up in the evening. Oh well. Off to the stage with my $1s. One other patron sitting there and a very average looking dancer on stage. We chatted a bit and she told me she was the only lady working and then said she needed a break after 5 or 6 straight songs. I can’t fault her for that. I moved away from the stage, left my beer and went to use the can. Anyone who has visited the old BBR can probably recall the bathrooms there. Wow, what a difference. Clean, shiny, new. Best part of the visit. Went back out and finished my beer before hitting the road. I’m not sure if I will return to Reveal. BoomBoom was always hit or miss but this place felt like a complete whiff. If it is true that the same person that runs Xpose runs this place, perhaps they will do the club shuffle, like RCS & DV8. Otherwise, why bother.
