A decent visit but nothing too special
Was in the area on business and decided to venture over to Staten Island to check out this place. Overall vibe, clean place, music was decent and not so loud that I couldn't have a conversation, which is a plus. The setup is a center stage with a rectangular bar surrounding it. Non-smoking except for hookahs. Very clean restrooms as well. You do have a pat down / pass through a metal detector on the way in; I learned later that apparently they've had some violence here in the past. But, it is NYC, so I can understand. Clients seemed to be locals, however I can't say this is a dive club by any means. Not very busy but it was a weeknight. It is open until 4am, whereas I'm accustomed to bars closing at 2 in my home area.
Not a big selection of dancers working; I estimate only about 5 were available. However, again, it was a weeknight, so I wasn't necessarily expecting a lot. I believe it was exclusively Black and Hispanic dancers. A variety of shapes, some on the thicker side, which is fine by me. I was not really that impressed with their pole performance and I would say for a portion of the time, all the girls were sitting at the bar instead. They weren't too interested in hustling for tips but were more interested in having drinks bought for them. Most dancers seemed to engage with a customer and then stick around him only, so having variety wasn't really much of an option. However, I was still satisfied by my selection.
Well, I ended up spending a bit more than I bargained for. Not necessarily any one item was outlandishly expensive, but it added up quick. Cover charge was $10, drinks were $10, lap dances were either $20 or $25 a piece, hookah was $30. The hookah price is quite a bit more than I'm used to but I hadn't smoked one in a while and thought why not. However, they will charge to add a new coal, which added to the costs (I can't remember how much the coal refill was but it was more than I expected). Drinks for the dancers definitely diminished my bankroll and I had a little more to drink myself than I would've liked but it happens. Lap dance was favorable as touching is encouraged. Topless, not fully nude but quite enjoyable. A drawback may be that it isn't all that private, you're really just set back in a couch area away from the main stage.
