I reviewed this club years ago and things have changed but they really haven't. There's more competition on the late night scene but The Voo is still the spot to go to if you want some decent dances at like 4 5 6 or 7 in the morning or feel like keeping the party going. Most of the patrons are in there to hangout - its BYOB! - and will some minimal tipping by the bar. If you want a dance sit in the chairs to the left when you come in or turn right and go all the way to the back. If you're not used to or into hood spots the vibe can be a bit intimidating but nothing's going to happen to you. There used to be a lot fights and that seems to have gone down or away significantly. Security looks deeps and does pat downs... but not so much to regulars/ballers so be aware of that. Now to the dancers... You really can run into the whole gamut of black dancers in here and you really don't know from night to night who will show up - in a good way. Being a bikini bar, the dancers don't need licenses (so you get some broke chicks trying to come up) and can essentially just show up, pay tip in and work. This means girls from other clubs who need money or are grinding it out can work the 2nd half of a double here. This also means they aren't on a schedule and can come and go when they want. On Friday and Saturday, most dancers are on the floor from 2/3am to 6. A good number will be there until 7:30/8 and after that it depends how much money is being spent or who is trying to pay a bill. Thursday and Sunday, subtract 2 hours from what I just said. In addition to broke/not broke hood chicks, you'll have students, regular girls with jobs at a factory or hotel... all sorts of women. Because Atlanta/Fulton county makes it a little difficult to get a dance license for a real club (must be 21, must pay $350 per club for a license, no out of town temporary permits) occasionally some real winners will fall through - its random and consistent at the same time if that makes sense. Most of the girls are gonna be a 7. Dance mileage varies from girl to girl or even customer to customer if y'all vibing. These dances are also $5 each. Keep a good count of your songs or agree up front how many you'll do then pay a little extra (trust me on this if you plan on coming back or trying to get OTC). There's not really a spot to go crazy or VIP in the club but you can easily get most of the dancers to exchange numbers with you and go from there. Don't be creepy or too extra and tell them straight up what you're looking to get into that night, maybe after a couple dances. Eventually you'll get a taker... hell that really goes for all clubs in Atlanta lol!
