Went to Pure Pleasure on a Thursday at lunchtime. It is one of the few clubs in Richmond open at lunch during the week. Medium crowd, very laid back atmosphere. No cover at lunch. Food is pretty good for the money, and the beer was cheap.

About 8 dancers, ranging from 6-9, 2 song sets. The usual Virginia stage rules prevail, but the dancers end up in small pasties and thongs. Decent level of enthusiasm, particularly with a medium crowd. As others have noticed, there is almost no "hustle" for private dances, but they are available if you ask.

Had a good conversation with Devon, an attractive brunette who is fairly new to the area but not to dancing. Turns out we had a lot in common, and we both had some good laughs. Ended up getting a couple of the $25 private booth dances from her (open booth in another room). The usual Virginia private dance rules prevail (can't touch anything that matters), but the dances were still a good value for this part of the world. Would definitely repeat (with Devon and with the club). The "8" rating is given in the context of Virginia laws.
