Midnight Review
Decided to go out late, and did not want to drive north to other places. Parking lot was well lit, a plus. And a number of folks outside just talking, but away from the main door, and not bothering anyone. Usual deal for Deja Vu clubs, $20 at the door and drink included. Fairly crowded, but still a few open chairs available. Lots of dancers milling around.
Went back to the bathroom, which for this time of night was surprisingly clean, and the drink stand is just off the bathroom, so stopped to get a coke, and wandered into the main room to watch the various shows, stage and otherwise. And like clockwork, a steady procession of "wanna dance" came buy, but nothing appealing to me. Then they did the Vu parade, I counted 20 plus different dancers in line to go up to the stage, for the parade, and then the called for a birthday show on stage, it was for a rather large woman in the audience. She went on stage in the chair and each dancer gave her a short dance, some were more expressive than others, a few took their tops off and put their boobs in her face, and others put their heads in her crotch. Fun to watch, and that show was worth the $20 to get in!
Dancers were a mix from what I could see of black, white, latino, but no asians. All seemed friendly enough but none stopped by that held any interest for me, so made it a short stay. I did not see many getting dances at the side or back, which seemed odd with so many customers and dancers in there, Just before I left walked back to the side stage area, but did not look like much was happening there.
