not like other clubs and not for me

This is an "unusual" place. I had read a little about it, so I was expecting something kind of divey or a country kind of place. Driving up to it, it almost seemed like a lodge, and I don't mean a hunting lodge. There were a couple of older guys outside in denim vests or something like that who were just hanging around and they didn't look very welcoming. Heading in, I felt like I was going to a divey bar where the local farm boys try out their fake IDs. It's a kind of dimly lit (sort of) place with linoleum floors, a couple of pool tables, a few tables that are basically waiting for a plastic pitcher of beer, drinks in plastic cups, and zero atmosphere. The people were friendly enough, but it felt like being at the local town dive bar in the sticks that happened to have a few mostly naked women in it. I've spent plenty of time in bars like that and I like them, but it didn't really work for me for a club. It's like have french fries with ketchup on them AND ice cream.

The women spent most of their time literally on the bar, working their way around it and getting a few tips, and occassionally having a drink with a guy or going off with one for a private dance. The private dances were in booths that were maybe 4 by 4 and had a bench in them and a curtain in the front. Didn't seem too plush, but I didn't try it.

The women were pretty so-so. There were five I think. Two were too big for my taste. Two were okay. One seemed pretty cute but also seemed more interested in hanging out with some regulars. I probably would've gotten tried a dance from her, but that didn't seem like it was ever going to happen. I thought about the other two, who were okay, but I was going to have to chase them and I'm not going to chase some woman I'm not that into just to maybe get a private dance.
