No Afternoon Delight

Haven't been here in awhile, so I thought it would check up on it. I wasn't expecting much for a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend and the club lived up (down) to my expectations. Most of the dancers were out of shape, which is becoming the norm for several clubs in the area. This club is annoying because of no nudity and pasties and most of them wear unattractive bathrobe type attire on the floor. Strange. It would be a nice compensation for the stupid VA laws to have some stunners on board.

But there is a vicious cycle with these rules. The girls can't make a lot of money because of the dress code and thus hot girls tend to go to the nude clubs nearby in DC. That leaves the out of shape girls to take up the slack, which puts a damper on the enthusiasm of the tipping. There is a glass enclosed smoking area where I think there is some kind of private dancing going on. But I'm not a smoker.

The girls do a tip walk but don't seem to be encouraging sitting down with customers for a drink. I suppose costomers who want to have a drink with the dancers don't tip well to keep them around, so it's a waste of the dancer's time. Buying a drink and tipping to keep them around is my SOP, but I didn't see anyone I wanted to splurge on this day. I'm sure there are busy times and times where there are better looking girls. I've heard rumors from former dancers that the managment has been known to try to take advantage of the girls. This club seems to be relegated to the third tier of clubs girls go to when they wash out at the downtown DC clubs. I assume there are some dancers who are regulars who have regular customers who support them since this is more like a neighborhood bar than being on the tourist circuit. But the location could bring in a lot of tourist traffic.
