1st time visiting, will return - should be better next time

After reading several favorable reviews (especially about Friday afternoons) I decided to visit Subi’s for the first time the Friday before Labor Day. Parked on the street beside the club to avoid the valet fee. Valet barely gave me a glance as I stepped inside. Could barely see inside since the sun was very bright outside. Greeted by doorman/bouncer/manager. Made my way to the restroom (no troll) before taking a seat.

I won’t reinvent the wheel by describing place. Not as divey as described by some. Once my eyes adjusted I could see about 7-8 customers scattered about. Maybe 4-5 dancers including a very overweight dancer on stage. Waited at least 10 minutes (3-4 songs) before any one came by to take my drink order. Turns out waitress Harley was next on stage dancing so no one filled in for her. Doorman came over and apologized profusely for the mixup.
