We (finally) decided to venture to another local club. Our friends chose Legends. It's located downtown with easy access to the burbs. Walked in early, just before 7p, so no cover. Finding a decent table was a challenge as most of the tables were reserved. Who knew that we had to reserve a table? (obviously me) We finally settled into a table and ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner. Food was good, service was pleasant. Then the manager comes by and says the table is reserved at 10 and we'd have to leave. Really? I get the reserved thing, but offer us some compensation, a round of drinks or something. We responded "So at 10 you're kicking us out of the club?", he responded, "yes". For whatever reason, inevitably, we were never asked to leave our table and never saw or heard from the manager.

Obviously, we were a bit early, but we're old, and unfortunately the early bird special is non-existent at a gentlemens club. None-the-less, we were impressed by the quality of the talent. As the night went on the talent got better. Some dancers just stood on stage and shook their rear ends. A good amount actually worked the pole with some great acrobatics. My friends wife is a generous tipper and shoved dollar bills in various places on the, more acrobatic, dancers. Not, surprisingly, there were no complaints by anyone.

What ever happened to boobs in your face. It seems so much more appetizing that an ass shaking in your face. I miss motor-boating. Today, it seems, it's all about the bubble butt shaking in various ways

Security was a concern. My friends wife went to sit on the rail, next to a group of gentlemen. She, foolishly, placed a pile of singles on her table and went to tip one of the dancers. One of the gentlemen decided that he wanted the singles and took them. Not taking any shit from anyone she got in his face, and he grabbed her ass. When she walked back to our booth, the offending gentleman followed. We were seated, when the gentleman hinted to my friend that he wasn't afraid of him. I was now on edge. Of course it was nerve wracking seeing as how the gentleman was with 4 other buddies and I haven't been in a fight since 4th grade. My friends wife stepped in between the gentleman and her husband and diffused the situation. The gentleman kept talking and, fortunately, one of his buddies grabbed him and apologized to her and they all left the club. Security was standing around doing nothing. The only employee that was doing anything was the bucket boy loading singles into the dancers bucket.

I guess what bothers me most about this is that there were a number couples in the club that night, including a single woman. In my limited experience, this is a trend that I'm seeing in the clubs we're going to. If the club can't keep their patrons safe, they could lose a good amount of business. As I shared in my last post, I tipped the doorman at Penthouse, as I did at Legends, and at Penthouse we felt safe and "protected".
