Interesting early evening
This is an interesting place. From what I understand, the neighborhood is about as bad as it gets for Rochester, but I didn’t have any trouble or feel like I was in any danger. Walking in you see a cool old wood bar that could be straight from the 40’s or 50’s with a connected room to the right with a stage. I walked in and ordered a beer from the friendly bartender, beer was cold, $4 or $5. Went over and tipped the one dancer that was there at 6p who was very cute and did a great James Brown dance when the played a GoS song. Went back to the bar with her after her set and drank and bs’d with her and the bartender for a while. Stage was empty as no other dancers were there. Asked her for dances, we did 3 for $60, very nice, high contact. Would have done more but it was hot, no a/c, and she wanted a break. After that things got a little weird as she went to the back and a female non-dancer and I believe non-employee who introduced herself as the dancers friend hit me up for a drink and threw a little fit when I declined. More dancers wandered in a round 7 but showed little interest in dancing so I took off. If in downtown Rochester I’d stop by again for a beer and the scene, but if you’re looking for a more traditional SC there are likely better options.
