Little Darlings Has Died

This club used to really be active from opening to closing. Now, the afternoons are dead. I went in about 2:15pm and was greeted by the bartender. Dancers, zero! There were two other guys in their and a manager. Now the music was great, the screens around the room running everything from ads for Little Darlings and the sister club, Deja Vu, to sports and talk shows. One thing I noticed immediately was that the place had a new paint job and, thankfully, the mechanical bull close to the mens room was gone. Domestic beers were a buck and the bartender was handing out small boxes of freshly popped popcorn. There was no DJ so I guess the music was pre-programmed. Maybe the manager doubled as the DJ if, when, any dancers showed up. Seeing that there was some remodeling that had gone on, I checked out the lap dance area. The old chairs are gone and new, black ones have been put in. It was nice and dark in that area. I guess if there had been dancers I could have checked to see if there was any mileage to be had on dances. About 20 minutes after I had sat down, one dancer came in. As she walked by I said hi and got a deadpan look with no response. She really acted like she didn't want to be there. Now, the nights may be where the action is and the dancers plentiful. Personally, I stay out of Valley Brook at night. I finished my beer and popcorn, dropped both containers in the trash, and left. My only conclusion was that I had just come from funeral. That was how dead Little Darlings was. Other guys may find different and I encourage them to go and see. For me, I doubt I will go back in the afternoon. I can be bored somewhere else.
