Jens Den

Stopped in Saturday night after going to Gatsby's North. Haven't been to Jen's in a while so I figured I would see if anything has gotten better. First thing I noticed is that the club seemed a lot brighter than usual and the club was really slow. Jen's is fairly large for Akron clubs-kind of like a large corner bar.

There were about 10 dancers give or take and mostly AA and mostly overweight. Bar side dances are $5 and different levels of VIP dances ranging from $15 and up for a more private area. None of the dancers there really were worth going to the VIP with and the dancers really seemed bored and staring at their phones for the most part. One tall thin AA dancer- didn't catch her name- was doing a really good job dancing at the bar. I ended waiting too long to grab her for a dance and another guy wrapped her up until I had to leave.

Drinks are kind of expensive for Akron with bottled beer @ $5 for domestic and $6 for import. Not sure about mixed drink prices.

I used to go here quite a bit years ago. The quality of Jen's dancers has really gone down hill. I think that could be said about most of the clubs in Akron. In the past, there would usually be at least of couple of dancers in the 7-10 range on any given night. Not anymore. Probably the best way to describe the atmosphere for a Saturday night would be depressing. Dancers seemed like they didn't want to be there and same with the rest of the staff. No reason to stop back until things improve.
