Palomino Pleasures
Tried to call for complimentary limo service, but they didn’t have availability until after midnight. Vegas had taken its toll the night before and I wanted an earlier night, so me and my buddy entered the club at about 10pm. I was initially worried that this was too early for “Vegas” standards, but I was surprised to find the place was bumping. We took an Uber to Jerry’s Nugget Casino to avoid the higher cover from the taxi kickback. If they see you getting out of taxi they will over charge for cover like a mofo. Because we came across the street, cover was $10 and didn’t include any drink tickets. Complimentary limo service is still obviously the first choice, but Ubering to Jerry’s nugget is the second option in case you don’t want to wait for the service.
I love the Palomino, but the biggest draw back is the club’s space. They arrange the seats so that the front row to the stage is open to anyone, but all the tables behind that row are “reserved”. This means there is a free for all for the 20ish front row seats around the main stage. They have a back small “stage” area that they open up when it gets busy after 11. The back stage was good to buy time if not main stage seats were available, but the entertainment isn’t as great as the main stage. In particular, one dancer dressed as Harley Quinn kept talking the whole performance and complaining about the song choice. I’m all for dancers conversing with customers, but her complaints really detracted from her performance.
The main stage is my favorite part. Usually I’m a LD guy and don’t really watch the stage, but it’s the best way to enjoy Palomino. Dancers have 2 songs each: 1st song in their stage outfit and 2nd song is full nude. No mileage when tipping on stage, but tipping get you about 10 to 15 second of a good personal show. The dancers here are mostly 8-10s, but there are some 6s. My favorites from the night were:
