Stopped in Lucky Corner for a quick beer and a dance or two. The club was crowded, full of dancers, more dancers at one time than I ever seen in an Akron club.
I was enjoying a cold $2.50 beer, watching all the activities around me, when I was approached by one of the dancers for a dance. I can't remember her name, but she was s tall, thin, well built lady, that is an above the average looking dancer. She adked if I would like a dance, and before the next song started, she got real concerned about her ex that just rode in. She hurried to surround herself with other dancers for protection. Not sure what all went down, but their was an altercation, a lot of dancers and a few customers scrambled to break it up.
Soon after the conflict, the ex left the building, a customer followed him outside to talk with him. The customer soon returned to the bar, the ex rode off and the dancer decided to call it the day and left when the coast was clear.
This was the first time I wittnessed any drama at Lucky Corner. Too bad, It's always been a laid back bar!
