First Friday

I happened to be passing through Columbia today and thought I’d try Platinum West after a long hiatus. This is the first time I visited on a Friday afternoon and it was busier than I recall. I got there about 3 and there were maybe 6 dancers, but by the time a left at 5 there were probably 12 or 15; not what Platinum Plus used to be, but better than my recent memory.

I ended up getting dances from 3 ladies. I saw a couple of ladies I remember from the past, Callie, who made a brief appearance then disappeared, and Lisa who danced for me. There was a lady named Whitney, who said she comes from a distance and is only there a day or two a month. Probably 5’10”, thick, blonde and a good personality. Also there was Marilyn, probably 5’4”, thin and blonde, a good conversationalist and a nice easy dance.

There is no longer a bouncer in the back room, but there is someone at the entrance who basically gives the dancer a toll ticket when she enters then charges her by the dance when she leaves. Hint: wait til a song is almost over before you enter. If you go in at the beginning of a song, the dance starts immediately.
