It is as advertised...with a caveat

I stopped by here since I had time to kill after a visit to Cooperstown. The bar does offer a good selection but some of my regular go to drinks (Patrone Silver Tequila, Disaronno Amaretto) were not available. Made do with substitute for amaretto. Beer was available from either tap or can at prices much cheaper than what I normally experience in the NYC area.

As indicated by other reviews, there is a stage area behind the bar where the one sole dancer performed her trade. During her set, she would offer patrons to throw dollar bills into her bikini. Also, the dancer would perform for 20 minutes, step off the stage for 10 minutes to drink with a patron or two or grab a smoke if she needed one. No offer for lap dances.

And the caveat...the dancer does not start till 8:30 PM. Novelty Lounge is open before that but until 8:30, there is no dancer working. It's just a regular bar.

All in all, an interesting experience and would consider returning if in the area, especially during the time that school is in session (state university campus is located very nearby).
