My second visit to Detroit, but my first to Subi's. Visited on a Friday afternoon from 3:30-6:00. Parking was mandatory valet ("$6.00 to the house, my friend," he said, angling for a tip), no cover, and a bottle of Fiji water was $7.00 at the bar.

Thanks to reviews here, I had an idea of what to expect and definitely was not disappointed. Although I had gotten the impression from some of the reviews that this place was a little on the divey side, I found the club to be fairly nicely appointed. It's small and kind of oblong-shaped, but that means no matter where you sit, you're not far from the long narrow stage.

Before stopping at the bar, I headed to the men's room and passed directly in front of a girl who was dancing on the small satellite stage that's just a step or two away from the main stage. She was attractive, fit, and just my type. Very outgoing, she introduced herself and asked me where I was sitting. I said I was on my way to the bathroom, then would get something at the bar and find a seat. She asked if she could join me and I said yes.
