Nothing surprising...

Ventured a bit far from home on another errand, so of course checked out the local scenery. Got there late, and was informed that, oh darn, I had just missed the 2 for 1 dance special. OK, there were signs up all over the place so they weren't making it up...but why not keep it going till closing? Oh well. The gals had their set routines moving "pole positions" after each song, then exiting off the back. I was by the bar by the exit, so I got a "hello" from almost every one as they stepped down. A few were clearly D O N E for the night, and just cruised away, a few were 3, maybe 4 or 5 sheets to the wind and my conversation was mainly making sure they weren't driving themselves home :) , and the others polite but clearly looking to land one more whale before closing. I took a chance one one, just to see the setup downstairs. The club has a classic old-school vibe which I like, but is still not too private downstairs, not air, just not worth staying for with the bouncer at the end of the row of booths. I do miss the good old days where you had to go back to the dance room to see if the buddy you came with was still alive or not.. lol. Always was, usually just real busy. Can't get that busy anymore. Still worth a shot - but go during the 2-fer dance nights.
