I Don't Know Why I Bothered

I don't know why I bothered to try this club again. It just doesn't get better, at least at the times I show up. Daytime cover charge is ridiculous. Bar service is slow. Back in the day, this wasn't one of the top clubs in CT, like Fuzzies in Waterbury or Uncle Als in Hartford, and it didn't have as much action as Mr Luckys in Plainville, Mrs Pips in Newington, and Cheetahs in New Haven, but it was still a good place to unwind. Not these days.

Any way. As usual, there were more dancers than customers most of the time. None of the dancers tried hard on stage. My experience has been that a girl who doesn't try on stage doesn't try hard in private dances, and nobody here was trying. They all looked familiar, and all looked a little too old or tired, a little (and more) heavy, or just too roadworn.

Back in the day, again, one of the best reasons to come to a club with this much action was that, for all the girls with below average looks, you would also run into a hot girl who needed to raise rent money real fast, or car-fixing money, or bail money for her boyfriend. Everything was cheaper then, but still -- Hell, once at Fuzzys I had a hot, hot girl who barely flashed on the Turnpike or in Hartford get bareass naked, and climb into my lap with my hands roaming free, for only an extra five bucks, once I'd tipped her a few times. At another club, a cute waitress from Pompeiis (a mobbed up club in East Hartford) who swore she'd never dance turned up and gave a great show with lots of contact. Made three hundred bucks and left by eleven pm.
