Decent Place in Des Moines

For some reason clubs in Des Moines seem hard to find (meaning they are off the beaten path). The Lumber Yard in Des Moines is no exemption.....it is tucked away in an industrial area a few blocks off the interstate, down by some trucking yards and a dark road. You have to be looking for the small sign out front or you could easily drive by. The building itself looks more like a metal machine shed rather than a "gentlemen's club".

Once inside the decor is nice enough but it can be a bit cavernous if the place isn't busy. The place is not fancy like a Vegas club but it is no dive either. I was there earlier in the evening on a weekday and they did not have that many dancers working. I understand later at night and on the weekends it gets a lot busier. Cover, if I remember right, was $10 to get in. Every Tuesday they have two for one dance specials. They only had a half dozen or so dancers working initially but the number grew slightly over the time I was there.

Dancers range from college girl type to a bit past their prime and slim/fit to, well, a bit of extra padding as they say. Mostly caucasian but one or two cute black girls here and there. Your mileage may vary on the private dances. They are topless and touching is allowed but some of the girls are pretty robotic and a few others get a bit more into it. Dawn, an older but cute dancer is one of the ones who gets a bit more into it.
