Thursday afternoon I toured three theater type “clubs” here in The City. These were The New Century Theater, LA Gals, and The Market Street Cinema. All three had decent stage shows. In each case the lap dance area consists of either $40 topless only booths, or full nude booths for $80. Both choices have meters in all three venues, but they are used somewhat differently. All the booths offer a reasonable amount of privacy. In all cases the performers demanded their money up front. I keep swearing to never pay up front again and I need to stick to my guns. I was one of three customers at The New Century, of one at LA Gals, and of two at Market Street. My personal opinion is that the process (meters and monitors) and the “promise them anything, get the money up front, send them away disappointed and pissed” has put a damper on the business. Clubs in other parts of the country where the girls are more prone to fun and the dancers pay the club rather than run a meter, are full to overflowing. Try Treasures in Houston or Rick’s in Seattle for instance.

They have cleaned up the sleaze at the MSC. All of it. How do they expect these young women to earn a living if they can‘t exercise their God given talents? About half the dancers were overweight or unattractive and ought to choose another line of work. Several were cute enough, and one was actually hot. The dancers are all convinced there are cameras in the booths, whether or not that is the case most use it as an excuse to not play too hard. It’s sorta like the Jet Strip in Lennox (near LAX). Some dancers consider this to be a “show stopper” and some don’t seem to be terribly inhibited. I got a good full contact lap dance (loosely clothed, sorta like at Rick‘s in Seattle) in the lap dance row in the main theater from the hottie, and was immediately approached by another reasonably attractive performer who I let take me on another $80 jip. After paying (she put all $80 in her machine) she told me that access was limited since she was wearing a tampon. Oh, several dancers told me the $40 booths were about 10 minutes, and the $80 ones, about 15. If this session lasted more than 5 minutes, I owe you a beer.
