G2000 still has it
I've been going to G2000 on and off for over 10 years now. It's gone through some changes. The VIP rooms used to be magical (back in the 2010/2011 days) priced at $160. Now they are priced at $180. I don't find myself ever going into VIP anymore though because there are so many dancers I like, I rather spread out my funds on a bunch of them instead of a select 1 or 2. Also, upstairs in the normal $20 lap dance area, after 8pm the bouncer no longer is strict about touching. I would say for many months now the upstairs vibe has been much more lax and comfortable. They also changed the lighting up stairs, to a much softer and dimmer light which HUGELY improves the atmosphere of the lap dances. And another big upgrade, new chairs! The chairs are still the same shape/size as before (small, and only good for single dances not double dances with 2 women), but they are well cushioned, the fabric is nice and smooth. Overall, those two major upgrades are a huge plus in my book.
I still prefer going during the week over the weekend, because the weekend can get pretty crowded with both women and customers, and I much prefer the laid back environment where I don't really have to compete with other customers to get the attention of a dancer. Wednesdays and Thursdays are my preferred nights, and between those nights there are a handful of different dancers too, so I feel like I'm getting a variety. The Russian women at G2000 are always fantastic and the primary reason why I like coming here. Most aren't hustler-like. They are all pretty chill and friendly, just like the establishment as a whole.
There really is no other club to go to in NYC that can match G2000's quality, chill factor, and solid lap dances.
