Quiet Tuesday afternoon at Castaways

Club Castaway is very low key with no cover charge on Tuesday or Wednesday, but of the four dancers, only one was making much of an effort and her attention was focused only on a couple of regulars. Two other dancers were well past their prime as dancers and the last one indicated it was just her fourth day. The half dozen patrons were mostly at the bar right in front of the entrance bantering with the attractive bartender.

Tasha was the name of the new girl on the useful blackboard with the names of the dancers each day and the approximate time after the hour for each to take the stage. She seemed at ease undressed in front of strangers, but does not yet have particularly sensuous moves for her very slender body. She was closely observing the other dancers, though, and looked eager to learn more. If she stays with it, she is likely to become a good entertainer in a few months.

I tipped a few dollars at the rail of the unusual pit used as the dance floor, probably little more than $10 in total. Tasha was cute, but seemed so young that I would have felt like a creep to ask for a private dance and simply left after a brief and very economical visit. I will still be back, but probably later in the week when there is more likely to be someone I would like to take to the back room.
