Not impressed with Northern NJ...on a Sunday

Passing through Northern NJ on a Sunday afternoon and thought I should see what it has to offer. Picked the Hitching Post since it opens at noon. I walked through the door at 5:10pm and it was packed. There was no cover charge. There was a staff guy/bouncer seated directly to the left of the entrance. There is a bar directly in front as you enter the club. The bar extends to the left and seats 7 or so on three sides; to the right is a lower level that has 3 tables of 4 on two sides and a rail with maybe 7 seats. All this seating surrounds the stage, with a pole behind the bar seats and a pole on the table seating side.

I got a bottle of water for $7, i think - and tipped the bartender $2 - and sat at the bar. The dollar parade here is brutal; there are four to five dancers on the stage at once and so it seems at any one time, one of them is coming by with a hand out. When I first got there and was waiting for a bartender, a dancer parked herself in front of me for a tip; she saw me just walk up to the bar-I told her it was my first time there to which she sourly replied "I don't believe that". I tipped her a couple of bucks and then she threw me a cold shoulder for the rest of the time I was there. A shame because this dancer, Tia, was probably one of the two good looking dancers there out of a dozen. There was a blonde (Jennifer?) who also looked worthwhile but was busy providing service in the back whenever she wasn't on stage.

Within a half hour, the place cleared out to little more than a half dozen custies. Stayed another half hour to try to get an opening with one of the two to no avail. Got battered by the dollar parade (being one of only a handful of custies) and got a couple of dance offers from more worn providers that i kindly declined.
