Price hikes, decline in quality, but still the best game in North America!!

An overall review of my first trip back in a couple of months. Cascadas has raised their room rates across the board. For example, the master suite used to be $100, so $20 on Mon/Tue with a VIP card. The base rate for a master suite is now $110, so $22 of Mon/Tue, and $88 the rest of the non-weekend nights. All of the girls also now ask for $100 for arriba where they used to accept $50~80.

This was my first trip during the heart of summer and I was actually surprised that the alley was not more busy. I always heard that many girls go home as Christmas approached and did not return until the summer tourism season kicked off. This did not appear to be the case as the alley was less bustling than usual.

The remodeled and expanded Azul offers breakfast from 10~11:30am on Tue/Wed for those who spent the night at Cascadas. An added value for those who spent the night at the now higher rates, but are too cowardly/lazy/gringo to venture out and enjoy the great cuisine that TJ has to offer.
