A 2 months summary report

Having gone to TJ for 20 times straight at 2 days/wk for 10 wks I think it's time for a report.

First, crossing the border is simple with a US passport, just walk with the crowd, the old and new crossings are w/i walking distance and so is everything else, e.g. parkings, banks, fastfood, stores, restrooms you've to pay. Parking is $10-$15/day/24hrs, don't park your car in the shoppings after hours, 10pm?, they'll tow even if there's no tow sign. If you're driving from the North, park at some Park-n-Ride train/trolley stations, they're free, have lights and police patrol, I think you could park upto 3 days before getting a sticker warning. I parked at the 3rd station away at 2340 Palm Ave 92154 of the Blue Line even though the train is red! Make sure you catch the South bound train also called San Ysidro bound, it's just 7 mins ride, ticket is $2.50, paid at the kiosk, valid for 4 hrs, can be reused by anyone, the cops do random ride check.

Once in Mexico, take a $5 taxi to HongKong, there're policia that regulate which cab is next in line to receive a passenger to prevent chaos. Speaking of policia, their HQ is 3 blocks from HK, and you'll see a patrol car very 3 mins on any street in the redlight district which is 2 blocks big. Walking around this sex zone is simple and you can't get lost, you'll know you're too far out when you don't see the many hot sexy girls standing, the food carts, and the police. There're many beggers on the streets, give each a $1, after all, you're in their country, but don't be flashy, don't let your wallet or phone get snatched.
