Visited: Saturday Evening

I had a free Saturday night and headed out for the local club, Sensations in Littlestown. ( That shows you the strip club wilderness I live in when Littlestown is the strip club Mecca.) After a less than desirable experience there I decided to try Club Good Times, a place I had never been before. And it’s likely a place I’ll never be again.

I arrived at about 9:30 Saturday evening, well after dark. Club Good Times seems to be on a residential street with no club parking. You know you’ve found the place because the blue neon sign is the only such sign on the street. I found a parking spot on the street and walked down to the club. There is an unmarked windowless and featureless door at the corner of the building from which you can hear music. There is another door directly under the sign which has a frosted window and the street number. That door, however, is locked. So, that meant the other must be the public entrance, and I got my first feeling that I was embarking on a less than reputable experience.

Upon entering you walk down a short hallway until you run into, literally, a hanging American flag. Walking around the flag I saw the bar immediately in front of me with a waitress waving me in. The main stage was immediately to my right. The waitress collected the $10 cover. The main room is long and narrow. Before I could even get to the bar though my nose told me this is a smoking establishment. I’m a non-drinker so I got a $2 Coke. As the evening wore on I saw a number of other patrons walk in carrying bottles a six-packs so I conclude that the place is BYOB. I judge the dimensions of the room to be about 15’ by 60’, so small, long and narrow.
