On a Monday afternoon, around 3pm, I had some time to kill before my flight at TPA. In looking at clubs near the airport, there are not a lot that are open in the afternoon beyond Mons, Odyssey, and Scores. I am not into the big corporate clubs, so I thought I would checkout Alibi. When I walk in there is a young female bartender talking with a young male employee. I sit at the bar, probably six stools in total, and wait for her to come wait on me. She says "hi" to me, but then continues her other conversation for five minutes or so. Meanwhile, another male employee comes out, sees me, the one and only customer in the club, and then goes in the back. At this point I fully expect two or three scantily clad maidens to come out and dance on stage, flirt for drinks, the usual. Instead, one dancer comes out and sits at the far end of the bar staring at her phone the entire time. I eventually, once the bartender was done with her other conversation, order a drink and hope for better. Unfortunately, it never got better. I got up, no one said a word, and I was out of there. What I can't understand is, what is the point of being open at all? Perhaps it is better at night. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
