PW Newbie - Review of Platinum West • 1995 Old Dunbar Rd West Columbia, SC 29172

Went in to PW tonight by myself to blow off some steam. Parking lot was full, so was expecting a good time. Door man and cashier seemed friendly enough, but that was hardly why I was there. I've been to a couple small clubs, both in Montana, so I was surprised at how cavernous it felt at first. The music was loud, but not overwhelming, and HQ enough that it filled the space. I'm fairly shy and awkward, so i went to the bar for some liquid courage. 6.50 for a vodka redbull. Was approached almost immediately by one dancer, before striking up a conversation with another. Neither were my type, though, and I was a little surprised to see indoor smoking. Guess I'm too used to the health-obsessed yuppiedom that keeps streaming out of Cali. Had definetly seen some a couple of prospects dancing, so i sat down at a table just off the stage. PW has two pole-stages, and dancers dance on each one. Probably a dozen
