I expected more

I stopped by Pin Ups on my way back to my hotel after a day of business around Atlanta. I come to Atlanta on business often, and usually go to Follies. One of the other posters on this site told me that I need to expand my horizons and try other clubs. Pin ups was easy to find and had plenty of parking. I read that the days could be slow, and I was encouraged by the number of cars in the parking lot.

The security as I entered was a metal detector and a bouncer. My keys set off the detector so I got the pat down. I was not charged entry nor parking, but I did put money in the tip jar where a woman and the bouncer were sitting.

As you enter you look into a large room/bar area which had a large VIP sign. The room and bar were totally empty. I assume this is VIP, but no one ever mentioned this room to me.

You enter the main club through a door off the security area. The main are of the club is large, with a long bar along the right side, a fee area in the back, a stage in the middle and free tables around the stage. There were about 6 - 8 dancers standing around, another bouncer at the pay area and a bar tender and waitress. I did not see one other customer. I ordered a drink and had a seat at the bar.The drink was $5 or $6. I was joined quickly by an attractive dancer, who asked me to sit at a table. We did and she was very pleasant. I asked her where all the people were that went with the cars, and she said that the workers all park out front to make it look like someone is there. (It worked but I was going to stop anyway.). This dancer told me that she also works at Follies some nights.

She then asked me if I was staying for awhile as she ordered food and wanted to go and eat. Was she getting rid of me? I don't know but she did disappear. Pretty soon another dancer shows up, also pretty. She asked me if I was waiting for someone, I told her I was. She asked to give me a dance in the meantime. I came to get dances, so I said yes. I got them in the regular section and was paid $5. It was far from a Follies dance. I stopped after 2.
