Spearmint Rhino...not what we expected but...

Recently coming from Las Vegas and enjoying the more 'aggressive' clubs out there, my review of this place may be somewhat colored by those experiences....

Anyway..

Club/Atmosphere: The club's exterior is pretty basic as it is in an industrial area of the Torrance/Gardena border (I didn't really feel uncomfortable outside the club, but situational awareness applies here given the location). The interior is standard strip club decorum with club lights and accents adorning every square inch of the place. When you enter, the stage and main floor are to the left and the bar is to the right. Along the wall, closest to the bar, is a line of stools and wall tables. Toward the back in are the restrooms (w/ bathroom attendant...friendly gentleman). The stage is sizable enough. The lap dance area is out in the open ($20/dance). There is slightly more expensive area that's blocked by a very porous wall with two large doorways ($25/dance). There is no privacy unless you go 'big'. But it is a strip club, so leave you shame at the door. The clientele/element seem neutral enough as there weren't any glaring 'red flag' individuals circling the club. It just appeared to be a bunch of civil guys looking to have some fun (on this night.) Music was standard club selection that wasn't overbearing. The DJ was unforgettable (granted..I don't really listen to the DJ so that is not knock against the DJ)
