Mildly Disappointing
It's in Newark, so you already know that there's a cap on the club's quality. Don't get me wrong; I have a spot in my heart for the Brick City but the small doses of grit and grime are overflowing in this club. The first thing you notice is the cramped interior, a U-shape bar that surrounds a platform with a pole behind it and a mildly impressive liquor collection. The dim lighting tries and fails to create an intimate atmosphere and instead just makes the place seem seedy. I suppose the wood paneling is a nice enough color, if you're into that sort of thing. The thug factor was high but not as high as one would expect: baseline levels for this city, I guess.
I'm a strip club newbie with a strong distaste for alcohol, I came here to see succubi and to have ass thrown into my lap. Failing that, I was content to have a decently attractive woman grind on me a little bit. What I ended up with was a dispassionate three minute dance that left me less excited than I had been initially. The dancer's ethnicity was the biggest letdown. While I am an equal opportunity horndog, I came to Newark for black booty. I didn't expect to have Courtney Lilywhite's skinny buttocks be the only thing on the menu.
As referenced in the previous paragraph, while I don't partake, I do take notes. Drinks were the usual 3-5 dollars and I'm sure the drinking patrons would love to sip from the watery tap. The dance ran me 20 or 30, I forget exactly how much I tipped. The cover charge was cheap for me, only about 10 bucks. hindsight 20/20 I'd just stay at home.
I'd recommend this club for anyone not too invested in getting decent lapdances or having a great time in general. Coming from a newbie, I'd recommend that you save your money and stay home. I can't properly say if its this club in particular or strip clubs in general but I'd consider this a mild waste.
