A Tale of Two Clubs

So after a long time hearing stories and reading reviews about Follies, I finally understand what all the hype is about. Follies really is a tale of two very different clubs. Day-shift here is totally different from the night night-shift.

I was in Atlanta with a day off work and had the chance to check out follies during the day. Got there around 1-1:30pm and self-parked. It looked like I had just beaten the mandatory valet ($5-$10) because they were just arriving and setting up. I've only been to Follies at night before and usually park in the shopping center across the street to avoid the charge. Also, there was no cover. I was only asked for my ID and given a gentle pat down from the girl working the door. Already this was a win over the $20 cover, armed security guard, and rough/thorough pat down from a huge black dude I'm accustomed to at night.

Follies is not huge place, but not tiny either. It's got small two stages, a few couches and tables scattered around the only bar in the middle. The main thing is that it's dark and your eyes take a second to adjust after walking in. When I got there, the club was pretty sparse with the girls outnumbering the guys; not at all what I'm used to seeing at night. The girls were mostly Hispanic with a few white and black girls peppered in. At night, it's pretty much all black. There was a slim latin girl sitting to my left as soon as I walked in and she asked if I wanted a dance. I declined as I like to get situated before diving in and I normally like thicker girls with big butts. She was pleasant and told me she would be waiting for me here when I was ready. English clearly wasn't her first language and here latin accent almost made me reconsider. I walked over to some couches along the back wall that are normally reserved sections at night, but were free today. Started to look around and noticed that every guy was getting REALLY good mileage from all of their girls. Follies normally has good mileage anyway, but this was on another level.
