Fooled again on the 15th anniversary!

I suppose I'll never learn. A friend called me to tell me the Brass Pole was having its 15th anniversary party Saturday night and asked me if I wanted to meet him there for a couple beers. Having been a semi-regular back in the beginning and experiencing it's long decline I was hesitant but told him that I'd meet him there.

The club layout is described in previous reviews and my perspective of it's decline is described in my past reviews. This night I arrived at the same time as two other guys that were flying solo and paid the $5. cover. Considering this was supposed to be a big night I was hoping that maybe all the dancers would be there and maybe there would be a gem or two among the dregs. I was wrong, it was dead, probably 5 dancers, ghetto, fat, out of shape as has been the norm here for years but I sat at the bar and ordered a beer to wait for my buddy. Right about then I get a text from him, his daughter was hurt in an accident at home and he was at the hospital with her and wasn't going to make it in so here I am once again in a club that I haven't enjoyed being in for many years.

As I previously mentioned I had zero interest in the dancers and the overall experience was the same as many times before. Nobody on stage, not that it mattered much considering the talent but they're still charging a cover and a high beer prices for this and I felt ripped off just like I have on every other visit here over the past few years. I obviously wasn't the only one that felt that way. One of the guys that entered the same time as I did chugged his beer and walked out within 5 minutes. I finished my beer and walked out a few minutes later and while I was sitting in my car in the parking lot making calls and checking messages the other guy that walked in at the same time as I did also walked out and drove away. So 3 different guys walk in at the same time and all leave within 10 minutes. What's that tell you about this place? Avoid it!
