Low Cost and High Mileage
Where has this place been all my life? My title sums it up nicely - low cost and high mileage. Only $5/dance and the songs were not short. Even better, the dancers didn't try to cheat me on the number songs, which I've sadly encountered at way too many other places.
$10 cover charge. Drinks were cheap. A Heineken was $2 and a soda was $1. Dancers would come up and ask, "Are you dancing?" All you had to do was say "yes" and they were quickly grinding on you - generally coaching you into a chair down at the far left end of the bar. If you say, "I'm taking a break." they will respect that. Only had one ask me for a tip (I gave her a dollar) when I said I was taking a break.
Had dances with 3 different dancers. Two for six songs each. (Cici and forgot the name of the other one.) One for three songs, only cut off because it was closing time. (Unique, and it was nice to dance with her for half the price of Picadilly. She also had the best line of the night, during the middle of a dance. "I know where I know you from. Picadilly. I recognize your balls.") Annoyingly, it seems to be almost impossible to figure out the exact hours at this place. Supposedly they close at 10, but they tossed on the bright lights and started yelling for us to leave at 9:30.
