Just OK. Longing for the Good Old Days

Gallaghers is a fine establishment to go to compared to other clubs, but it really has lost its luster over the past few years. I've been going here for the better part of a decade now, and the crazy party atmosphere is basically gone.

The setup itself has not changed... same security pat down after 8pm (just walk right in during the day time) and usually a cover of $10-$15 at night. You walk in and the entire right side of a main stage and the dj booth with couches is bare. Friday nights, there will be more people here. Otherwise, it's completely empty except for a few dancers relaxing and looking at their phone. The left side is the bar with the usual dollar parade and one show stage that will be active on weekend evenings. Dances are performed in like a lower rung area or upstairs, but mainly upstairs. There is still security there at night and no security until about 730pm. The security doesn't really care anymore what you do... they're mainly just there looking at their own phone. Dances are $20 and VIP is $180 for HH. This is the ultimate YMMV kind of club. Most dancers keep things pretty tame, moderate amount of grinding and occasional stick shifting. The VIP is also the ultimate YMMV. But for the most part, they are pretty upfront about what they're willing to do. If they're not, you can figure out they're just there to be extra "sensual." Dayside of course will have a lot more latinas (especially on the plumper side), but they'll also be willing to do more, especially since there is no security upstairs. At night, there's a wider variety, but basically a 60/40 split of Eastern European/Latina.

I went on a Thursday night around 9pm and there were about 20 dancers and about 25 patrons. Back in the day, there would be at least triple that on both sides. And the women used to be 7-8s with a few 9s sprinkled in... Now, it's basically 5-7s with a few 4s sprinkled in. Even some of my favorite dancers from the past few years have moved on to greener pastures.
