After several years away from the very south end of the Strip I decided to make a run down to CH3 to see if anything had changed. Aside from the new Raiders stadium quickly taking shape the local area around the club was unchanged. At 11:45 PM there were plenty of open parking spaces in front of the club so I skipped the garage valet service. Going through the front door requires a pretty serious patdown by the security staff which even exceeded TSA secondary screening requirements at JFK International on a holiday weekend. Even Spearmint Rhino doesn't get this up close and personal so there must be a history of concealed weapons entering this club previously to warrant this procedure. Anyway once I got past the front door it was straight to the bar across the room for a Miller Light. Fifteen dollars for the bottle which is even more expensive than Rhino if that is possible and apparently it is at CP3. Once I got my drink for the night I made one circuit around the stage to survey the talent after midnight and it was frankly average at best. Taking up station along the VIP upper deck rail near the bathroom I was able to survey the stage while checking out the money vamps awaiting the next victim to walk in. I don't recall seeing or speaking to a single dancer below the age of 30 during the entire 75 minutes I was in the building. During that time I was approached by about 20 girls seeking private dancers which left zero impression on me frankly until Roxy from Oregon did her drive by routine. Cute girl with short hair with a seriously pretty smile but rather flat up top which was quickly noticed. Taking a pass on her I was hoping to run across Jackson from a previous report here but she was evidently not working this night so I was able to roll out of CP3 only $22 short of what I started with when I drove into the parking lot. As a warning for others beware of the two vamps from Columbia who like to work together and press in close while they pitch their offer. I got the distinct impression that they both have wandering hands for wallets if the opportunity presented itself. The other dancers kept a reasonable distance but the Columbians were on me like cheap blanket from the get go. I hope that CP3 improves once the new Stadium opens in a few years but for now it is on my "been there, done that" list. Far more talent on hand at either Rhino or Sapphires to warrant another trip back down to CP3 anytime soon.
