the new Vic's
It's hard not to be nostalgic about the old Vic's, it was a throwback to a simpler time. But now that the changes have come, there is still much to like. The hours haven't changed and are really pretty funny - they open at 2, but there is hardly anybody there till closer to 3 and they really do close at 8. With Paradizios closed and the new private "rooms", Vic's appears to now be more crowded. But this is at least partially offset with more dancers and the quality appears to have taken a step up as well. The biggest change, of course, is the private rooms and I see this as a positive. In the bigger picture I'm sure this helps the establishment make some more money and may keep them in business longer. While this is an extra $25 hit to your wallet - you also get a lot more bang for your buck. You can now get a bj, get more time for your activities and, while the rooms are small, you can actually also try different positions and have more time. All in all, you receive far more than $25 in additional value. On the less than positive side, the barside action appears to be diminished to just the far side of the bar, which is now even more crowded, but it does seem to still exist.
The good news is that Vic's is still going strong with ties to its roots, but upgrades that I believe are an improvement and we can all live with.
